Job description

MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their SHEQ team with an Environmental Advisor for our ESD joint venture framework. Based in the Stepps office, you will travel throughout the Central Belt regions supporting and assisting in the delivery of project environmental objectives and targets.

You will report directly to the Head of Health and Safety. The responsibilities will include:

1. Undertake monthly SSERs on projects in line with the SSER Schedule and environmental aspects of the project, including any Parent Company focus areas as required.

2. Carry out advisory visits monthly on projects to provide support and assistance.

3. Assist and review outputs from initial site screening assessments with design and prepare teams.

4. Lead design-based environmental audits on projects during the preparation and design phases.

5. Review and assist site teams in completing environmental license applications and responding to planning conditions.

6. Manage liaison with client’s regional environmental advisors (SW SSD Environment).

7. Lead delivery of ESD Environmental training, including BMS, for the business as required.

8. Participate in client-required initiatives, working groups, and forums as needed.
