Job Description
A Leading Energy and Infrastructure Consultancy is seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant/Manager with site experience to join a small, dynamic Environmental and Sustainability Team within a Global Infrastructure Business. The position is home-based with travel to client sites and on-site roles are also available. Travel and subsistence are included in the package.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to impact the fast-evolving new energy sector. You will support the Environmental Lead in ensuring environmental compliance on a legacy brownfield site being redeveloped into a leading global power facility. Responsibilities include overseeing site characterization activities, conducting site inspections, reviewing contractor work plans for compliance, preparing environmental reports, and maintaining documentation.
You will also provide guidance on environmental best practices, recommend corrective actions, conduct training sessions, and promote a culture of environmental responsibility. The role requires embodying leadership qualities, aligning with the organization’s values, and contributing to a respectful and collaborative workplace.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, with experience in the construction industry. In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to travel are essential. Proficiency with environmental monitoring equipment and software is also required.
