The Environmental Advisor will play a key role in supporting a prestigious Government Agency in maintaining compliance with their ISO14001 Environmental Management System.

Job Description

Reporting to the Environmental Manager, the role involves providing expert advice and guidance to both the client and facility managers, helping to drive best practices in environmental management across a varied estate.

The Environmental Advisor will lead internal site audits to ensure high standards of compliance, while managing their own schedule within a hybrid working model that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the internal audit programme remains compliant and on track.
• Assist with action management and external certification audits.
• Support incident investigations and process improvements.
• Maintain ISO14001 EMS, review documents, and engage with key decision-makers.
• Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities with the customer.
• Participate in meetings and network groups, supporting action management as needed.
• Engage in relevant ISS team programmes alongside the customer.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

• Degree-qualified.
• Experience in environmental compliance and regulations.
• Lead Auditor qualification is preferred but not essential.
• Understanding of ISO14001.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Role involves significant remote work and travel, with self-managed scheduling.
