Job summary

Natural Resources Wales in Dolgellau seeks an Assistant in the Environment Team to support regulatory delivery and improve Wales' natural resources. You will assist with information collation, responses to queries and incident response coordination, while helping maintain equipment and processes.

You will work in a collaborative, bilingual environment with development plans to support your growth. A full UK driving license is required, with hybrid working arrangements available.

Qualifications

• Understanding NRW regulatory remit.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external customers and partners.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Welsh language level required – Level C1 (essential).

Responsibilities

• Support the integrated delivery of functions by the team and place, including collating regulatory information and administering incident response rotas.
• Develop knowledge in processes such as evidence collation, database administration or permit determinations to support delivery.
• Respond to basic customer queries and route more complex queries to staff.
• Assist with procurement requests to ensure equipment is available and maintained.
• Undertake health and safety duties appropriate to the post.
• Commit to NRW Equal Opportunities and Diversity Policy and to your personal development plan (Sgwrs).
• Participate in incident response activities and other duties as required.
