Environment, Health, Safety and Quality Advisor | Liverpool | ~£47,000 + Bonus + Further Benefits

Are you a hands-on Health and Safety professional seeking a role that combines technical challenges, career progression, and meaningful impact?

Do you have experience in complex, high-risk industries such as logistics, shipping, ports, rail, utilities, or heavy engineering, and are eager to apply that knowledge in a key UK port operation?

If so, this Environment, Health, Safety and Quality Advisor role in Liverpool offers a unique chance to contribute to safety initiatives across large facilities, with support for your professional development in Health and Safety qualifications and skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Support and develop Health and Safety initiatives across port terminals handling high-risk materials, ensuring legal compliance and managing technical risks.
2. Assist in shaping and maintaining ISO management systems 9001, 14001, and 45001 across various operational areas.
3. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, operational staff, and regulators, to foster a positive safety culture.
4. Produce detailed, clear, and technically sound reports to support compliance and audit processes.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in a similar high-risk, heavy industry role.
2. NEBOSH General Certificate or higher; Level 5 qualification or working towards it is preferred.
3. Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders in both written and spoken English.
4. Comfortable managing technical safety risks such as manual handling, large equipment, and hazardous materials.
5. Experience with ISO 45001, 9001, and 14001 is advantageous.
