Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Site Lead to oversee and drive EHS initiatives at our pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS leadership within pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage EHS policies and programs to ensure regulatory compliance and workplace safety.
  • Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation strategies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards and other industry-specific regulations.
  • Conduct EHS audits, inspections, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide EHS training and awareness programs for employees at all levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS best practices into daily operations.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and ensure timely reporting of EHS metrics.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives and environmental impact reduction strategies.
  • Lead emergency response planning and crisis management efforts.
  • Monitor and analyze EHS performance data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in an EHS leadership role within pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, MHRA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Expertise in risk assessment methodologies (e.g., HazOp, Zurich risk analysis).
  • Certification in EHS management systems (e.g., NEBOSH, CSP, CIH) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
