Environment and Sustainability Manager

The role itself is with a leader in the construction and property services company. The company has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across residential, commercial, and public sector developments while keeping sustainability at the heart of their operations.

Key Responsibilities of the Environment and Sustainability Manager will Include:

• Oversee the ISO 14001 and 50001 accredited Environmental and Energy Management Systems, ensuring compliance, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date with sustainability regulations and industry best practices, advising senior leadership on compliance and implementing necessary measures.
• Develop and drive sustainability projects focused on carbon reduction, biodiversity, and energy efficiency while promoting awareness and engagement across the business.
• Measure and manage the company's energy consumption and carbon footprint, develop a Carbon Reduction Plan, and oversee energy procurement to support sustainability goals.

The Successful Environment and Sustainability Manager Requires:

• Demonstrable environmental and sustainability experience, ideally within construction, facilities management or related sector.
• Qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline and ideally hold a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM).
• Demonstrable experience with ISO 14001 and 50001 as well as Energy and Carbon reporting.
• Have a passion for excellence, and an ambition to grow and develop a career within the environmental space.
