Job summary

Change Grow Live in Bromley is seeking an Entry Into Service Worker on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2027. The role supports people at the initial access point to treatment, balancing direct engagement with assessments and safeguarding within a multidisciplinary team.

You will help people navigate the early stages of their treatment journey, build trust quickly and promote recovery-focused, trauma-informed care, with a strong emphasis on compassionate, person-centred support.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable adults or communities facing complex challenges.
• Excellent communication and engagement skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Passion for helping people make positive changes.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and engaging people entering treatment and recovery services.
• Completing screening assessments and gathering information to support care planning.
• Supporting individuals through the early stages of their recovery journey.
• Delivering harm reduction advice, guidance and practical interventions.
• Identifying safeguarding concerns and undertaking risk assessments where required.
• Maintaining accurate, timely and high-quality case records.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
• Supporting individuals to access wider services, including healthcare, housing, wellbeing and community support.
• Promoting recovery-focused, trauma-informed and person-centred approaches throughout your work.
