Job summary

Citizens Advice Manchester is seeking an entry-level Contact Centre Advisor to join our friendly team in the heart of Manchester. You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support, with a Monday–Friday pattern and no late shifts.

The role involves helping clients with benefits, consumer law, debt and housing matters, and providing practical information and reassurance. You will be the first point of contact, offering initial assessments, basic advice, and referrals to further support

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or contact centre environments.
• Strong communication skills, clear and confident in phone and written communication.
• Ability to listen actively and respond with empathy.

Responsibilities

• Carry out initial assessments of clients’ needs.
• Provide clear, basic advice and self-help information.
• Arrange further support where needed.
• Help clients understand their rights and the actions they can take.
