Job summary

Gap Personnel is seeking a Junior CAD Technician in Caerphilly. The role offers 34.5 hours per week with a starting salary of £25,000 in a practical manufacturing environment.

You will develop CAD skills, produce 2D/3D drawings, and support CNC, folding, welding and assembly processes within a hands-on team. Ideal for gaining entry‑level exposure to product lifecycle and sheet‑metal design.

Qualifications

• AutoCAD familiarity; solidworks/inventor familiarity.
• Sheet metal design principles including bend allowances and tolerances.
• Clear technical communication and detail-oriented.
• BOM creation and drawing revision experience.

Responsibilities

• 2D & 3D CAD modelling for locker bodies, doors and components.
• Create manufacturing-ready drawings with bend lines, tolerances and material specs.
• Update designs based on changes or feedback.
• Produce BOMs for new and existing products.
