Job summary

Ernest-Gordon-Recruitment-Limited is seeking a CAD Technician or similar with experience in SolidWorks and sheet metal fabrication to join a well-established supplier to blue-chip clients such as Tesco, Matalan and New Look.

You will create sheet metal fabrication drawings, program CNC machinery, and issue drawings to clients. The role hours are 8:00am–5:00pm Monday–Thursday, with an early finish at 1pm on Fridays. Experience with sheet metal is essential; SolidWorks is preferable.

Qualifications

• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and CAD drawings.
• Background in CAD and engineering drawing creation.
• SolidWorks experience preferred but not essential, training available.

Responsibilities

• Creating sheet metal fabrication drawings.
• Sending drawings out to clients and coordinating revisions.
• Designing and programming for CNC machinery where applicable.

In this role the successful CAD Technician or similar will be responsible for using SolidWorks to create drawings for sheet metal fabrication, programming CNC machinery, and issuing drawings to major clients such as Tesco and Matalan. The successful CAD Technician or similar will be working 8:00am-5:00pm from Monday to Thursday and will get to have an early finish on Friday, leaving at 1pm.

The ideal CAD Technician or similar will have experience working with sheet metal, and a background in fabrication. Experience in solid works is preferable, however this is not essential.
