Job summary

Recruit4staff LTD is seeking a CAD Technician for a permanent role in Widnes. You will produce accurate technical drawings from customer orders to support the production team in a busy sheet metal environment, creating 2D and 3D drawings using RADAN and delivering CAM files to the production department.

Exceptional attention to detail and clear communication are essential, along with experience re-qualifying orders and liaising with customers to obtain authorisation.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate technical drawings from customer orders for production.

• Pay: £32,000 per annum
• Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:30pm, Friday half day
• Duration: Permanent

Role Description

As a CAD Technician, you will produce accurate technical drawings from customer orders to support the production team within a busy sheet metal manufacturing environment. The role involves re‑qualifying customer orders, creating 2D and 3D drawings using RADAN software for customer authorisation, and delivering CAM files to the production department. Exceptional attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to produce precise drawings to customer specifications are essential.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

• Previous CAD design experience
• Experience using CAD software, ideally supported by a relevant qualification
• Good mathematical skills
• Experience producing technical drawings
• Customer communication and order re‑qualification experience

Additional Information

Permanent opportunity with a well‑established sheet metal manufacturer based in Widnes. Travel distance is commutable from Widnes, Warrington, St Helens, Liverpool, and Runcorn.
