Job summary

South Wales Police is recruiting an ICT Enterprise Specialist in Bridgend. You will manage enterprise systems, servers, storage, and virtualization, ensuring availability, security and compliance while driving improvements.

You may supervise junior ICT staff and coordinate with cross-functional teams. The role requires degree-level qualifications or equivalent, with strong experience in Microsoft technologies (Azure, Exchange, Teams) and virtualization platforms (VMware/Citrix).

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree or demonstrate equivalent skills.
• Experience designing and leading on enterprise systems: management and monitoring with SCOM/Azure Monitor.
• Experience with Windows Server, Exchange/Exchange Online, Teams and virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure and maintain enterprise systems.
• Design and deploy server infrastructure (physical and virtual).
• Oversee server/storage performance tuning, patching and firmware upgrades.
• Develop and maintain documentation for enterprise systems processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve system issues.
• Develop and maintain security protocols for enterprise systems.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
• Provide IT specialist advice to business users and IT peers.
• Manage technical staff within your area.
