Holland & Barrett seeks a Director of Group Strategy to shape long-term enterprise choices and investment priorities. You will align customer, financial and operational insights across the business, challenging assumptions and guiding executive decisions.

The role partners with the CEO, CFO and the Executive Committee to articulate a clear strategic path and measurable value. Hybrid working from London or Nuneaton is expected.

Qualifications

• Significant senior strategy experience influencing enterprise-level decisions.
• Experience in complex, multi-channel retail or health & wellness environments.
• Strong commercial and financial lens with investment insight.
• Ability to connect functions into a holistic business view.
• Natural curiosity and external perspective to challenge internal assumptions.
• Experience influencing CEO/Board-level stakeholders.
• Judgement to push or align as evidence dictates.
• Knowledge across growth, M&A, partnerships, and portfolio strategy.
• Direct, low-ego communication focused on the right answer.

Responsibilities

• Own H&B's 3–5 year Group strategy and value-creation agenda with clear priorities.
• Connect customer, commercial, financial and operational thinking for holistic decisions.
• Challenge the business to look beyond the horizon with a 3–10 year view.
• Assess major investment choices ensuring economics and strategic fit.
• Review portfolio initiatives to guide investment sequencing or stopping.
• Shape thinking on future growth including partnerships and data/AI.
• Bring insights from customers, competitors, science, regulation and health trends.
• Collaborate with Finance and senior leaders to link strategy to resources and value.
• Lead critical strategic questions with clear recommendations and implications.
• Establish a practical Strategy approach earning senior confidence.
