Job summary

Intec Select Ltd in Oxford is seeking a Network Engineer to join a technology-focused client on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on enterprise networking across campus, data centre and multi-cloud environments, with additional systems administration tasks.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in enterprise network operations, strong LAN/WLAN, routing, switching, DNS/DHCP, and experience with AWS or GCP networking.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in enterprise network operations and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise LAN/WLAN, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP and IPAM environments.
• Manage and troubleshoot firewalls, cloud networking and connectivity across AWS and GCP.
• Monitor network performance and availability, taking ownership of incidents through to resolution.
• Support systems administration tasks including account provisioning, server patching, storage and backup troubleshooting.
• Maintain network security through configuration reviews, policy enforcement and best practice.
• Support network design reviews and the transition of new infrastructure into production.
• Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, SOPs and operational runbooks.
