Job summary

MRP Global is seeking a Java Developer for a long-term, hybrid role based in the West Midlands. You will develop and support enterprise Java applications, with two days per week on-site and live service incident handling.

You'll work with WebLogic, Kubernetes, Maven and GitLab in a structured release environment, perform testing, write SQL, and contribute to continuous improvement while communicating clearly with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• SC Clearance preferred.
• Strong Java development and support experience.
• Experience with GitLab and controlled release processes.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Hands-on WebLogic experience.
• Experience supporting live production environments.
• Shell scripting experience.
• Maven and Linux experience.
• Manual testing and documentation experience.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support enterprise Java applications.
• Provide live service and incident support.
• Write and maintain Oracle SQL queries.
• Support batch processing and operational activities.
• Manage code and releases using GitLab.
• Support containerised applications using Kubernetes.
• Work with WebLogic application servers.
• Perform manual end-to-end testing.
• Support application changes and continuous improvement.
