Job summary

Experis is seeking a Java Developer to join its technology team in London or Leicester, with a hybrid pattern of three days on-site and some weeks five days. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise Java applications within an Agile delivery environment.

Clear SC clearance eligibility is preferred. The contract length is 12 months, with a salary range of £41,000 to £45,000 per annum.

Qualifications

2–5 years of Java software development experience.
Experience in supporting and administering J2EE environments.
Strong Java, Spring, and Web Services (SOAP/REST) knowledge.
Hands-on with JMS/MDBs, JUnit, and Git.
Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD and Ansible for automation.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
Build scalable solutions using the Spring Framework and related technologies.
Develop and consume Web Services to support business integration.
Work with JMS and MDBs to implement messaging solutions.
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Manage source code with Git and contribute to CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
Provide systems administration and support for J2EE applications and JBoss environments.
Develop infrastructure automation scripts using Ansible.
Create and execute unit tests using JUnit.
