STARK Building Materials UK is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to shape and evolve the data architecture across the group. The role focuses on designing scalable, reliable data architectures that support operational and analytical needs while aligning to global standards.

You will lead data modelling efforts, governance foundations, and collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders to drive data-driven growth and strategic outcomes.

Competenze

• Extensive experience in enterprise data architectures, data modelling methods and technologies.
• Systems thinker with growth mindset and value creation as a core principle.
• Proven ability to align technical solutions with business strategy, enterprise architecture, and standards.
• Expert in data modelling techniques (conceptual, logical, physical) and tools (ER/Studio, Erwin, dbt).
• Experience in enterprise application, integration, and technology architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, Databricks, Azure, ServiceNow) and integration toolsets.
• Experience supporting MDM, Data Governance, and Analytics initiatives.
• Understanding non-functional requirements and how to embed them in architecture.
• Awareness of CIS, DAMA, INCOSE, ITIL, and/or TOGAF.
• Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and multi-modal delivery methods.

• Align data services, products and solution designs with the enterprise architecture strategy.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture to meet current and future needs.
• Create architecture standards, best practices, and documentation for diverse audiences.
• Provide thought leadership on consolidating services and designing a modern data estate.
• Collaborate with application, connectivity, integration, platform and security engineering teams.
• Work with data engineering to simplify data flows and pipelines across the organisation.
• Support data modelling that underpins MDM, analytics, and reporting.
• Ensure data models and architecture support data governance and quality.
• Establish and maintain data modelling standards and high-quality models.
• Lead iterative reviews and refine processes based on feedback and metrics.
• Identify patterns to promote re-use and future-proof data services.
