Job summary

Finastra is seeking a deeply technical Director of AI and Machine Learning to lead the engineering organisation’s AI capability. This role will translate product-led AI strategy into scalable architecture, engineering design and delivery, ensuring that AI can be consumed responsibly, efficiently and measurably across the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive AI/ML experience in enterprise software environments.
• Strong architectural capability for complex enterprise applications.
• Cloud MLOps experience for deploying models at scale.
• Knowledge of data strategy and governance across data flows and residency.
• Cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder management at senior levels.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise AI reference architecture, engineering patterns and technology standards.
• Establish reusable architectural patterns for model access, orchestration, data access and security.
• Define buy/build/reuse decisions for AI capabilities and platforms.
• Translate AI strategy into architecture, delivery patterns and measurable outcomes across the SDLC.
• Lead the AI engineering estate, ensuring capability and operating model readiness.
• Evaluate AI technologies, models and tooling and recommend enterprise options.
• Define cloud-based MLOps, deployment, monitoring and cost management approaches.
• Advise on data strategy, inputs/outputs, residency and governance.
