Job summary

Cohere is seeking Software Engineers with Applied AI experience to own the design, build, and deployment of agentic workflows powered by LLMs for North, its AI workspace platform. You’ll work with enterprise customers to deliver reliable, observable AI agents that integrate with tools, APIs, and data sources, while ensuring safety and auditable processes.

You will own the end-to-end use cases, potentially covering frontend tasks, and travel up to 20–40% to client sites.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python development for production-grade software.
• Experience building production-grade RAG and agentic apps.
• Familiarity with frontier LLMs, vector DBs and orchestration frameworks.
• Ability to design robust evaluation frameworks for agent accuracy, safety and latency.
• Experience working directly with customers and leading technical discussions.
• End-to-end ownership of use cases, from problem to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Translate high-value business problems into well-framed agentic workflows with clear success criteria.
• Design, build, and deliver LLM-powered agents that reason, plan, and act across tools and data sources.
• Contribute to North: ship features across full product lifecycle from concept to production.
• Own use-case scoping end-to-end, including frontend when needed.
• Improve frameworks/patterns for consistent delivery across teams.
• Drive clarity and engineering quality in ambiguous situations; travel to sites as needed (20–40%).
