Job summary

Central YMCA is recruiting an English Tutor to join the Doncaster Centre team. You will design and deliver engaging English programmes, helping learners reach Level 2 English Functional Skills and GCSE.

You will support learners to overcome barriers, improve confidence and progression, while contributing to assessments, curriculum development and quality assurance in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• PGCE/Certificate in Education or L5 Diploma in Education and Training.
• Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in English, and Level 2 in maths.
• Experience teaching English up to Level 2 and GCSE.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and deliver engaging English programmes.
• Support learners to achieve Level 2 English Functional Skills and GCSE.
• Assist in internal assessments and external examinations.
• Contribute to course reviews, curriculum development and QA.
