Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced English Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition in Sefton. The role focuses on developing literacy, reading, and writing for individual learners.

You will tailor lessons to learner needs, monitor progress, and build confidence in language skills, working closely with pupils to maximise outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring English.
• Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching to individual needs.
• QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching experience desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Two professional references involving work with children.
