Job summary

Nova Training is seeking an English Tutor to join our team in Oldbury. The role is full-time and permanent, with 37.5 hours per week.

You will deliver Functional Skills English and Maths to Level 2, plan differentiated learning, and assess progress while supporting learners to reach their potential within our 14-19 provision.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Functional Skills or Maths and English to Level 2.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience in 14-19 provision.
• Full Teaching Qualifications (Cert Ed, C&G 7407, CTLLS, DTLLS).
• Passion and desire to teach.
• Willingness to undertake relevant Teaching Qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of Functional Skills English, and Maths up to Level 2.
• Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure lesson plans are prepared.
• Achieve company KPI s and Individual Performance Plan
• Plan embedded learning for groups and individuals
• Develop delivery in order to maximise progression opportunities for learners.
• Create conditions in the training centre(s) which will help to develop the abilities, skill and confidence of each learner.
• Regularly assess learners' work.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, (depending on experience & qualifications)

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Functional Skills Tutor.

As a Functional Skills Tutor you will be supporting students to achieve their functional skills qualifications in both English and Maths up to Level 2. We are looking for a Functional Skills Tutor who can motivate, engage and inspire our learners to achieve their full potential whilst on our programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery of Functional Skills English, and Maths up to Level 2.
• Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure lesson plans are prepared.
