Job summary

Elephant Connect Education in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced, part-time English tutor to deliver GCSE and A Level English Language and Literature. Sessions can be online or in person.

Bring at least 5 years of teaching experience, a solid grasp of the UK curriculum and exam boards, and an Enhanced DBS. You will tailor lessons, provide feedback, and help students become confident, independent learners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of teaching experience required.
• Experience teaching GCSE and A Level English Language and Literature.
• Strong knowledge of UK National Curriculum and exam boards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Student-focused approach and passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

Elephant Connect Education is a UK-based tutoring and education company supporting students through personalised learning, academic guidance and exam preparation.

Our approach goes beyond simply helping students answer questions. We focus on developing strong subject understanding, confidence and skills that support students beyond the exams they are preparing for.

We are looking for an experienced, part-time English Tutor to teach English Language and English Literature at GCSE and A Level located in Milton Keynes, UK.

The role

As an English Tutor, you will:

• Conduct engaging 1-to-1 and small-group tutoring sessions, both online and in person.
• Deliver subject-specific sessions aligned with the relevant UK curriculum and exam board criteria.
• Support students with GCSE and A Level English Language and Literature.
• Help students develop a strong understanding of texts, language, literature, writing and examination skills.
• Identify individual learning needs and adapt your teaching approach accordingly.
• Provide appropriate homework, study materials and constructive feedback.
• Be punctual, well-prepared and professional for all sessions.
• Help students build confidence and become more independent learners.
