Protocol Education are recruiting for an experienced English Teacher to join a secondary school in the Chester-le-Street area on a full-time maternity cover contract from April 2027. You will deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4, plan, assess and monitor progress, and support pupil achievement within a supportive department.

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for an experienced English Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Chester-le-Street area on a full-time maternity cover contract from April 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate English specialist to join a supportive and well-established department, delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role offers continuity for the remainder of the academic year and would suit a teacher who can quickly establish positive relationships and maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
