Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a forward-thinking secondary academy in the Tameside area to recruit a dedicated English teacher for a sickness cover through to December 2026, with potential to continue.

You will teach English Language and Literature to Key Stages 3 and 4, Monday to Friday, 8:15am–3:00pm, in a supportive school with strong CPD and ongoing guidance. Daily rates of pay are competitive for this assignment.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS, QTLS or be an Early Career Teacher.
• Experience teaching English at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Have an Enhanced DBS
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature to KS3/KS4.
• Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons in a calm classroom.
• Maintain a focused classroom environment.
• Fulfill standard school duties and planning responsibilities.
