Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is supporting a forward-thinking secondary academy in the Tameside area to recruit a dedicated Teacher of English for sickness cover from as soon as possible through to December 2026, with the potential to continue into the next academic year. You will teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4 on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, 8:15am–3:00pm.

The role requires delivering engaging, inclusive lessons and maintaining a calm, focused classroom

Qualifications

• Hold QTS, QTLS or be an Early Career Teacher
• Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4
• Provide a full CV with complete employment and education history
• Have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
