Job summary

On Track Education, a specialist SEND school in Silverstone, invites applications for an English teacher. The role covers planning and delivering engaging lessons for pupils aged 11-16 in a THRIVE-based environment, with a focus on personalised, outcomes-driven learning.

We welcome both full-time and part-time applicants. The post requires a strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice, with a UK driving licence beneficial.

Qualifications

• Ability to teach English up to GCSE level and other subjects.
• Qualified Teacher Status is preferred; applications from those with relevant qualifications or industry experience are welcome.
• Knowledge of SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and inspire learners.
• Support pupils to develop knowledge, skills and confidence across the curriculum.
• Create personalised learning experiences that meet EHCP outcomes.
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
• Adapt teaching approaches to support SEND and SEMH needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with families and external professionals.
• Support pupils in preparing for their next stage of education, training or employment.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.
