The role

You will teach English as part of the school's timetable, helping pupils develop their understanding of language and literature. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured English lessons.
• Adapting teaching to support different abilities and learning needs.
• Marking work, assessing progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Maintaining positive classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Working with departmental colleagues to support continuity of learning.
• Following the school's safeguarding procedures.

The timetable, year groups and full responsibilities will be discussed before you accept the placement.

We welcome qualified teachers, ECTs and applicants with relevant experience teaching English in UK secondary schools. Suitability will depend on the school's requirements.
