Job description

Hours: 40 hours per week, during term time

Salary Details: Up to £36,000 per annum

Our small class sizes (never more than 4-5 students) provide the perfect environment for impactful teaching, supported by teaching assistants.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons, ensuring the department and the school achieve their aims. We seek an enthusiastic, flexible, and determined individual who shares our values and wishes to develop their career in this specialist area.

About the School:

Cambian Chesham House School is an independent, DfE-registered, co-educational day school providing specialist education for up to 20 students aged 10-18 years. Our approach is to inspire and engage learners through positive learning experiences, believing that all learners can achieve their personal best with the right support.

Requirements:

• Teaching qualification and experience
• Thorough understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching methodologies to meet diverse learner needs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• A passion for teaching and learning, committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice

The Role will include:

• Teaching small groups of pupils within the classroom
• Preparing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to pupils' needs
• Supporting other staff to deliver high-quality education consistently
• Adapting teaching methods to meet individual learner needs
• Collaborating with SEND teaching assistants to define appropriate activities related to the curriculum
