Are you a dynamic, resilient and passionate English Teacher with a strong sense of humour?
We are seeking a committed English Teacher to join a Secondary Alternative Provision in East Lancashire on a long-term supply basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require a more personalised and supportive educational setting.
This role is ideal for a teacher who can bring strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships with students. A good sense of humour and a flexible, compassionate approach are essential to success in this setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to students' individual needs
Support students with a variety of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) challenges
Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Work closely with support staff and leadership to promote positive outcomes
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working in an alternative provision, PRU, or with challenging behaviour preferred
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Patience, resilience, and a great sense of humour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
