Job summary

Pertemps Specialist Division is seeking an English & Maths Trainer to deliver Functional Skills up to Level 2 across the East Midlands with travel between sites from our Nottingham-based client. The role is full-time with a 35-hour week and a 3:30pm Friday finish, with term-time variations possible.

You will manage a mixed-ability caseload, track learner progress, and tailor delivery to individual needs while maintaining records and contributing to quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering English and Maths up to Level 2.
• Strong learner-centred approach and classroom management.
• Willingness to travel across the East Midlands.

Responsibilities

• Deliver English and Maths sessions to support learner achievement and progression.
• Work with mixed-ability learners, including those who may be disengaged or lack confidence.
• Manage a caseload of learners, monitoring progress and supporting timely achievement.
• Diagnose learning needs and tailor delivery accordingly.
• Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality assurance.
• Work collaboratively with employers, assessors, and internal teams.
