Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking an English Lecturer to join a further education setting on a temporary basis in Sheppey. The role covers GCSE English and Functional Skills with 16 hours per week and an ASAP start.

The successful candidate will assess learner progress, provide feedback, and cultivate an inclusive, supportive learning environment. A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential; DBS checks apply.

We are currently recruiting for an English Lecturer to join a further education setting on a temporary basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and supportive English teaching to learners studying GCSE English and Functional Skills.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality English lessons to GCSE and Functional Skills learners.
• Support learners in achieving their English qualifications and developing their confidence and skills.
• Assess learner progress and provide appropriate feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

About You

We are looking for an experienced English teacher or lecturer who has:

• Previous experience teaching English.
• Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills English.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for supporting learners to achieve their potential.
• A recognised teaching qualification is desirable, but not essential.

Hours:16 hours per week

This is a great opportunity for an experienced English Lecturer looking for a temporary position within a further education environment.
