Job summary

New Appointments Group is seeking an experienced English Lecturer for a temporary post at a further education setting in Sheppey. You will deliver GCSE and Functional Skills English, support learners to achieve qualifications and provide constructive feedback in a supportive classroom.

The role emphasises creating an inclusive learning environment and maintaining high standards of teaching quality for 16 hours per week. DBS checks apply and the post is temporary.

Qualifications

We are currently recruiting for an English Lecturer to join a further education setting on a temporary basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and supportive English teaching to learners studying GCSE English and Functional Skills.

The Role

• Deliver high-quality English lessons to GCSE and Functional Skills learners.
• Support learners in achieving their English qualifications and developing their confidence and skills.
• Assess learner progress and provide appropriate feedback.

About You

We are looking for an experienced English teacher or lecturer who has:

• Previous experience teaching English.
• Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills English.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for supporting learners to achieve their potential.
• A recognised teaching qualification is desirable, but not essential.
