Job summary

Reed Further Education is seeking a dedicated English Lecturer to provide cover at a Manchester educational establishment. You will deliver engaging English lessons to Further Education students, helping learners improve reading, writing, speaking and communication in an inclusive environment.

The role requires a degree in English, a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed/DTLLS or equivalent), safeguarding training, and DBS on the Update Service. DBS checks and references are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in English or related subject.
• Qualified teaching status (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent).
• Experience teaching English in FE/Secondary/Adult Learning.
• Current safeguarding training and understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
• Experience supporting learners with varying abilities and needs.
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

As an English Lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and high-quality English lessons to Further Education students. You will support learners to improve their reading, writing, speaking, and communication skills while creating an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Essential Requirements

• Experience supporting learners with varying abilities and learning needs.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years' referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
