Salary in the range of £32,455 - £45,260 per annum
We are seeking to appoint a full time Lecturer to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills for English within our cross-College provision, primarily to vocational learners aged 16-18.
This is a rewarding area of the College, and you would play a key role in supporting our vocational learners with their development and help them progress onto higher courses or the workplace.
You will preferably possess a degree or equivalent in English or a related subject area (or a Level 3 qualification plus proven successful experience of teaching English/Literacy/ESOL/EFL for at least 2 years). You will have experience of teaching/tutoring GCSE, Functional Skills English, ESOL, EFL or literacy, and have the ability to engage and enthuse 16 to 18 year olds from a variety of vocational disciplines. You will either possess a Level 5 teaching qualification recognized by the FE sector, or be willing to undertake teacher training, supported by the College. You must be able to teach one evening per week (Thursdays) until 9.00pm.
