English Graduate Teaching Assistant – September Start – £89–£100 per Day – Stockport Area

A well-regarded secondary school in the Stockport area is seeking a passionate and motivated English Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role for the full academic year, ideal for those looking to work closely with students, develop teaching skills, and support literacy across Key Stages 3 and 4.
As an English Graduate TA, you’ll work under the guidance of experienced teachers, supporting pupils of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs. You’ll lead small group reading and writing interventions, assist with GCSE preparation, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Supporting students in English lessons with comprehension, writing, and language tasks
Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions to boost literacy and engagement
Assisting with the planning and delivery of creative and curriculum-based activities
Helping students prepare for GCSE English Language and Literature exams
Supporting SEND and EAL learners to access written material and classroom discussions
Location: Stockport (including areas such as Bramhall, Cheadle, and surrounding)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full academic year, full-time
Daily Pay: £89.38 – £100 (depending on experience)
Requirements: English degree (Language, Literature, or related), strong interest in education
