Job summary

University of Lancashire is seeking a Technical Officer to lead the operation of our engineering workshop facilities, manage specialist resources, support teaching and research activities, and lead a team of skilled technical staff.

The role requires experience supervising staff in an engineering workshop, delivering training and demonstrations, maintaining equipment, and ensuring high health and safety standards; experience with CNC machinery, CAD/CAM, and SolidWorks is desirable.

Qualifications

Experience supervising staff within an engineering workshop environment.
Strong background in practical engineering processes.

Responsibilities

Lead the operation of our engineering workshop facilities and manage specialist technical resources.

Deliver practical demonstrations, manage stock and supervise workshop activities.
