Job summary

East Coast College is looking for a Technical Support Instructor - Engineering to join the team at Lowestoft Campus. This part-time, term-time role provides practical learning support, keeps workshops compliant and safe, and helps students access learning with additional needs.

You will work across College sites and engage with employers to develop work placements and opportunities in welding and engineering. A safeguarding-first approach and strong record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• Industry experience in welding, engineering or a related technical field.
• Ability to support and motivate young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Strong employer engagement and networking skills in welding sector.
• Organised and collaborative professional with safeguarding and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical and learning support in practical environments.
• Ensure equipment and workshops are safe and compliant.
• Assist students with additional needs to access learning and gain independence.
• Work across East Coast College sites as required.
