Job summary

SERB Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Engineering Technician in Wales to perform daily maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant and support calibration regimes for the planned maintenance system. You will work with a multi-skilled engineering team to ensure safe operations and efficient performance.

Applicants should have experience in mechanical/electrical engineering, ability to read schematics, and PLC fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Ability to read electrical and control schematics.
• HVAC installation and test experience desirable.
• Able to fault-find and repair PLC/computer-driven automated plant.
• Experience with steam generating plants desirable.
• Experience with water filtration and purification systems desirable.
• Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day repair and maintenance of electrical/mechanical plant.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance safely and report unsafe practices to the Engineering manager.
• Support and carry out maintenance and calibration regimes for the planned maintenance system.
• Share engineering knowledge with the team to move towards a multi-skilled department.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across the site.
• Assist in keeping all plant in good order to meet production, validation and project needs and ensure QEIO and Change owner responsibilities are on time.
• Support the team in minimising consumable costs using SCADA data insights.
