Job summary

AG Barr Group in Cumbernauld is seeking an Engineering Technician (Multi skilled Electrical Bias) to join our Engineering Team. The role ensures that machinery and equipment are installed, maintained and operated to maximise production output and efficiency on high-speed lines.

You will work on site under a Continental shift pattern, aiming to uphold health and safety standards while driving continuous improvements and effective contractor management across AG Barr's manufacturing footprint.

Qualifications

  • Can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Experience working on and maintaining equipment and machinery.
  • Flexible / team worker.
  • Solid understanding of Health and Safety standards.
  • "Self starter" / proactive and ability to set and prioritise work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to ensure maximum efficiency from production and engineering assets; ensure planned and corrective maintenance tasks are completed as scheduled.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and repair breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Input data into Maintenance CMMS system.
  • Ensure maximum business benefit is gained from all budget spend.
  • Analyse line efficiency, wastage and downtime data to identify performance improvements.
  • Manage contractors as required and ensure contractor management procedures are followed.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices and factory hygiene standards.
  • Liaise with Project teams across all phases of the process.
  • Produce detailed written reports such as downtime sheets and line logs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal/external customers to deliver engineering objectives.
  • Consult manuals & drawings for replacement parts and support team initiatives.
  • Operate machinery as required to support efficient manufacturing.
