Job description

Job Title: Engineering Technician

Salary: £34,716 plus a shift allowance of £5,208 per annum (+ £1,404 per annum gowning allowance)

Location: Wrexham, LL13 9UF

Hours: 2 shift rota (Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm, 1.30pm - 9.30pm)

Are you a mechanically biased Engineering Technician with experience in the aseptic filling area and a desire to make a real difference?

The successful candidate will provide engineering support within the Sterile Products Facility grade A, B, and C areas, working a shift rota (2 shifts: 6 am - 2 pm, 1.30 pm - 9.30 pm), supporting products for patients.

Role Overview
  • Operate according to current engineering procedures, complying with cGMP and UK laws
  • Size and changeover components on washing, filling, and sealing machines for vial and ampoule parenteral production
  • Perform maintenance on these machines in compliance with cGMP
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure reliability
  • Proactively manage the lines to maximize efficiency and reduce setup times
  • Suggest improvements to processes, equipment, safety, and efficiency
What We're Looking For
  • Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship (Multi-Skilled preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with excellent fault-finding and communication skills
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical engineering standards and regulations
  • Experience working in Grade A, B, and C pharmaceutical environments
  • Practical experience in reliability engineering and strategies
  • Ownership mentality towards equipment and standards, with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Experience with lean/CI principles with proven results
