Engineering Technician

Location: The Duchy Hospital, Harrogate

Hours: 22.5 hours & Permanent

Salary: Up to £32,000.00 FTE per year (depending on experience, training, and qualification)

Overview

Circle Health Group's The Duchy Hospital in Harrogate, part of Britain's leading independent healthcare provider, is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their engineering team. This part-time role involves flexible shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders for planned maintenance, reactive responses, and remedial work.
• Provide engineering maintenance and breakdown support at the hospital.
• Support health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor site-based technicians and assistants.
• Advise hospital managers on engineering matters.
• Promote high engineering standards and team ethos.
• Complete mandatory training requirements.

Candidate Requirements

• Current CSCS Card; ECS Card if electrically qualified.
• City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Willingness to act as AP and RP Medgas.
• Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and ACOPs.
• Knowledge of L8 Legionella ACOP in hospital settings.
• Strong organizational and fault-finding skills.
