Job description: Multi Skilled Engineering Technician (Blow Moulding Department) - Manchester - Permanent contract: 4 on 4 off (2 days & 2 nights, 7-7)

We are seeking a Multi Skilled Engineering Technician to join our Manchester Blow Moulding facility within the Muller Milk & Ingredients business. As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you'll provide safe front-line reactive maintenance.

Your responsibilities will include actively identifying root causes and restoring equipment quickly, as well as seeking and implementing cost-effective improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.

Key responsibilities:

1. Ensure effective handover of information across shifts.
2. Use PMS to support prioritization and problem-solving (RCFA).
3. Diagnose faults and test, repair, and maintain Mechanical/Electrical equipment.
4. Observe, recognize, and report machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure; provide CMMS data.
5. Contact OEMs and suppliers for technical support and expedite parts when not available on site.
6. Lead shift-based problem solving where corrective actions aren't clear.
7. Work as ONE TEAM with First Line Response Technicians.
8. Coach operators with asset care tasks.
9. Identify and implement improvements.
10. Identify lifecycle issues and raise recommendations.
11. Support simple 5WHY OE techniques / RCA techniques for long-term fixes.
12. Support departmental 5s programs for workshops and stores.

Requirements:

• Recognized apprenticeship or equivalent experience within maintenance/manufacturing industry.
• Mechanical/Electrical biased experience.
• ONC/HNCIOSHH / Nebosh qualification (desirable).
• Multiskilled engineer experience.

Shift details: 4 on 4 off rotation (Days/Nights).
