Job Description

Supports troubleshooting both in the lab and the manufacturing floor. Sets up and conducts testing with prescribed testing requirements. Collaborates with engineers to identify testing methods, write technical reports, and summarize testing results. Responsible for maintaining all lab equipment in working condition and ensuring calibration is current. Maintains high-quality standards of work using best practices within the engineering test lab and manufacturing floor.

1. Perform and document engineering tests, capturing relevant data and working with department resources on conclusions and findings.
2. Assist in writing testing protocols and other technical documentation.
3. Brainstorm testing methods and develop functional tests independently or collaboratively.
4. Maintain lab equipment, ensure calibration, and follow 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) practices.
5. Support Process Engineer in troubleshooting on the production floor, focusing on operator practices, system procedures, testing, maintenance, and calibration verification.
6. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including legacy product updates, Kaizens, new product development, verification/validation, and project activities focused on manufacturing best practices.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications include computer literacy, good documentation practices, experience with configuration management and blueprint reading (desirable), strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and effective communication across departments. Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently with limited guidance, and collaborate effectively is essential. Experience in quality assurance, control, or lab work is a plus. Basic plumbing, electrical knowledge, and familiarity with flow and pressure are highly desirable.
