Job summary

Müller Milk & Ingredients in Bridgwater is recruiting a Multi-skilled Engineering Technician to maintain and improve a wide range of equipment and systems across the site. This hands-on role requires a strong fault-finding ability and experience with interpreting technical drawings.

The position involves a permanent 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern (7 AM – 7 PM, 2 days / 2 nights). Applicants with an engineering apprenticeship and relevant maintenance experience are invited to apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Relevant qualifications and hands-on maintenance experience.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Willingness to work on a rotating shift pattern.
• Additional qualifications such as HNC, IOSH/NEBOSH are beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across various systems and machinery.
• Support automation and control fault finding.
• Carry out preventative, condition-based, and corrective maintenance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience from any industry (manufacturing, armed forces, automotive, etc.)
• Completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship
• Relevant qualifications and hands‑on maintenance experience
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Willingness to work on a rotating shift pattern

Additional qualifications such as HNC, IOSH/NEBOSH, or experience with continuous improvement tools are beneficial but not essential.
