Job summary

Ocado Group, based in Luton, is seeking an Engineering Team Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians in our automated CFC environment. You will allocate workload, develop capabilities, and actively manage performance in a fast-paced setting.

You will be an experienced engineer in either mechanical or electrical streams, with a strong track record in automation. You will drive safety, problem-solving, and continuous improvement while supporting a 24/7 shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of engineers within an automated FMCG environment.
• Ability to make critical decisions in a fast-paced role.
• Strong technical knowledge of automation hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Engineers, Technicians and Trainees to achieve daily targets.
• Allocate workload and manage day-to-day operations in a 24/7 CFC environment.
• Address disciplinary issues and drive safety and standards.
• Lead from the front to drive pace, accuracy and quality across engineering streams.
