Job summary

Proactive Global, a leading manufacturing group based in Wembley, North West London, is seeking an Engineering Team Leader. The role suits an experienced Maintenance Engineer ready to step into leadership or an existing leader seeking a new challenge.

The successful candidate will manage a small team of maintenance engineers, drive improvements, coordinate contractors, and partner with Production to meet KPI targets, all while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in manufacturing.
• Strong multi-skilled engineering knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach and develop engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a small team of maintenance engineers.
• Conduct regular 1-to-1s and annual appraisals.
• Manage performance, development and training.
• Set objectives and support engineers' career development.
• Coordinate attendance and address performance issues.
• Manage contractors on site and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering Manager on resource planning.
• Attend management meetings and represent the team.
• Work with Production and other departments to meet KPIs.
• Support PPM and reactive maintenance programs.
• Identify improvements and drive engineering standards.
• Support continuous improvement and site projects.
