Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking an Engineering Team Leader / Maintenance Supervisor in Northampton. You will lead a small team on shift, allocate work, and keep hands-on with the tools while driving KPIs such as downtime and MTBF.

This is a fast-paced, highly automated site with a strong investment in maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will have an engineering qualification or time-served background, and be comfortable with RCA, CBM, 5S and Kaizen, while still contributing on the shop

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.
• HND or degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical or industrial), or a time-served apprenticeship with strong experience.
• Solid knowledge of process plant, utilities and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with RCA, CBM, 5S and Kaizen.
• Someone who still wants to be on the tools, not purely managing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3-4 multi-skilled engineers on shift, allocating work and managing performance.
• Stay hands-on with the tools yourself and own your area's KPIs (unplanned downtime, MTBF, compliance to plan, spares inventory).
• Drive Preventative and Autonomous Maintenance to improve reliability.

We are recruiting two Engineering Team Leaders for a market-leading manufacturing business in Northampton. This is a fast-paced, highly automated and heavily invested site, and a rare opportunity to lead a small team on an exceptional salary.

The Role

You will lead a team of 3-4 multi-skilled engineers on shift, allocating work, managing performance and development, and staying hands-on with the tools yourself. You will own your area's KPIs - unplanned downtime, MTBF, compliance to plan and spares inventory - and drive Preventative and Autonomous Maintenance to improve reliability.
