Job summary

Pilgrim'S Europe is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to provide high-quality engineering support and lead a team driving site reliability and performance. This hands-on leadership role focuses on maximising equipment uptime, reducing downtime, and delivering continuous improvement across site operations.

You will coordinate activities, support production, and develop engineering capability within your team, ensuring safe practices and compliance across all tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an engineering leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong fault-finding skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to coach and develop a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is delivered across plant and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Monitor plant performance and collaborate with Production to improve efficiency.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring issues.
• Support site projects, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote health, safety, and compliance in all engineering activities.
• Maintain safe systems of work and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as Permit to Work Controller and ensure safe operations.
• Lead and develop engineers through coaching and performance reviews.
• Coordinate resource planning and shift handovers to maintain coverage.
• Analyse data to identify trends and drive improvements.
